Collaboration on Social Entrepreneurship
For the third year in a row, the Emirates Foundation is launching the Emirates Award for the Arabian Gulf Youth competition. Recognizing the transformative power of engaging youth as active community members, the award aims at building the next generation of Emirati and GCC philanthropists through encouraging youth to adopt philanthropic approaches to implementing their business ideas. The award is designed to show young people that they have the capacity to effectively give back to their communities by introducing them to the concept of social entrepreneurship.
Ideanco participated in assessing the 2017 Emirates Awards for the Arabian Gulf youth submissions organized by the Emirates Foundation. Ideanco will make decisions regarding the project ideas based on the following criteria:
- The originality of the idea
- The level of innovation of the project
- The social impact of the project
- The potential for the business to sustain itself financially
- The level of scalability
